Beware if you have a chimp in your movie: PETA is watching. In the last week I've received two E-blasts from the animal rights organization, one concerning the new documentary Circus Rosaire (just played at AFI-Dallas; check the earlier post here), the other condemning the upcoming adaptation of the anime TV icon Speed Racer (which I'm tempted to condemn just because of its live-action format, but I digress).

Keep reading for the full text of PETA's Speed lament.

In case you missed Alan Peppard's column this morning, he got into how the script is shaping up for the George W. Bush movie that Oliver Stone is working on. You can real all the details here.
When I talked to Josh Brolin at the AFI Dallas screening of Then She Found Me, I asked him how the movie was going so far, but he was pretty mum on all of it. Granted, he hadn't started filming his parts yet, but you can bet he already must be mulling how he will prortray one of the most visible men in the world. Here's betting he plays it pretty straight.
