I don't need no stinkin' SAG: No love for Denzel (Universal Pictures) Some big surprises: No love for Denzel. Nothing for American Gangster or The Great Debaters . The Savages was shut out. I haven't seen a better-acted film all year. Philip Seymour Hoffman wasn't nominated for his other roles (in Charlie Wilson's War and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead) either. I know he won his Oscar already, but he's doing even better work now. Into the Wild dominated. Five minutes into Hal Holbrook's performance an Oscar nod was clear. Emile Hirsch and Catherine Keener are looking good too. Thoughts? |
