Hoffman and Hawke meet the Devil (ThinkFilm)

Dallas had it's big AFI kickoff this spring. Now it's Forth Worth's turn in the debut festival spotlight. The Lone Star International Film Festival springs into action Wednesday night with a screening of Kabluey, a comedy about a nebbish helping his sister-in-law (Lisa Kudrow) contain her hellion kids while her husband is fighting in Iraq. The festival, running through Sunday, also includes Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Sidney Lumet's new film starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Ethan Hawke; and Paul Schrader's The Walker, starring Woody Harrelson. The festival will also have an international sidebar series, the Sister Cities Film Series, featuring works from Fort Worth's sister cities around the globe. For more information on the LSIFF call 817-735-1117. For the Sister Cities Series, call 817-392-2650.
