First feast, now famine. After 12 new films opened this week, only five new flicks hit the screens this week in Dallas. With Halloween less than a week away, one of them must be Saw IV. But you can also choose from Dan in Real Life (B), Bella (C), Music Within (B+) and Park. Comment and let the world know: which flick gets your $10+ this week? |

After experiencing 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' for the first time last night, I can say I'm going to catch up on my sleep, which is really the best choice considering this week's batch. But boy am I pumped for 'American Gangster,' 'No Country for Old Men' (the Coens can do no wrong), and 'Lions for Lambs,' which should be an interesting quasi-companion to writer Matthew Michael Carnahan's 'The Kingdom' (which I took a friend to, and we both agree is the best movie thus far. It doesn't dumb down the culturally significant message. Rather, it elevates the action flick).

Did you know that one of the "Music Within" producers (Brett Donowho) is also a north Texas native and his dad still works at TI? Can you say, proud pappa?

Bella is definitely on my list to see this weekend. I saw a pre-screening of it last January and have waited all year to see it again. It is that good, and Eduardo Vestegui is just a babe and a half...he is worth the price of admission.
